Product Merchandiser

Purpose of Job:

 

Based in Nottingham, PlayerLayer specialises in the design and supply of customised technical performance sportswear for independent schools, universities and sporting clubs; in addition to a growing retail presence online via playerlayer.com.  Due to company expansion, an opportunity has arisen within our Design team and we are looking to recruit Product Merchandisers.

Working closely with our Account Executives and Sales team, this role is to provide day to day office based support for our Sales Regional Account Managers regarding product merchandising and teamwear range creation.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Creation of consistent, innovative and financially viable design concepts, which fall in line with brand philosophy and guidelines.
  • Create consistent and forward thinking design handwriting across all accounts that represents the brand.
  • Produce design standards and templates of use across the PlayerLayer team.
  • Preparing product specification documentation for use by our suppliers.
  • Creation of garment embellishments designs.
  • Creation of visuals and graphics for the website.
  • Gatekeeper Role – Ensure any stock held by PlayerLayer is merchandised in a way that optimizes our product range and maximizes the commercial opportunity.

 

Competencies, Skills and Experience Required:

  • University or equivalent educational level
  • Design and creative background
  • Experience of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are essential for this role
  • Team player, positive and self-motivated
  • Professional, dynamic and focused
  • Diplomatic and goal driven

Account Executive

Purpose of Job:

 

Based in Nottingham, PlayerLayer specialises in the design and supply of customised technical performance sportswear for independent schools, universities and sporting clubs; in addition to a growing retail presence online via playerlayer.com.  Due to company expansion, an opportunity has arisen within our Operations Sales Support team and we are looking to recruit Account Executives.

Working closely with our Product Merchandisers, this role is to provide day to day office based support for our Sales Regional Account Managers regarding product delivery, stock ordering and set up of account web site pages - delivering an outstanding customer service experience every time.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Head Office support for our Sales team
  • Placing, progressing and monitoring Sales and Purchase Orders for assigned
    Regional Account Managers
  • Preparing estimates and quotations for customers as requested by Sales
  • Working with the Product Merchandisers to ensure only approved stock range plans are ordered from our suppliers
  • Input of Purchase Orders within agreed time-scales ensuring quantities, stock items, pricing and lead times are accurate
  • Handling correspondence and organising contacts between our
    Regional Account Managers and customers if required
  • Set up of account web pages on playerlayer.com on behalf of Sales

 

Competencies, Skills and Experience Required:

  • University or equivalent educational level
  • Computer literate with intermediate Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Experience of working in a Sales Support environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
