IT Support Technician

Salary: £18k-£20k

Purpose of Job:

Based in Nottingham city centre, Dreamsport, which includes PlayerLayer, Mylo Kyn and Under Armour UK team wear, specialises in designing and supplying customised technical sportswear performance clothing for independent schools, universities and sporting clubs as well as having a growing retail presence online. Due to company expansion, an opportunity has recently arisen within our IT department. Reporting to the IT Systems Support, this role is to provide day to day IT 1st Line support for the Dreamsport team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Deskside, phone and remote 1st line support / administration of:

o Active directory

o File servers

o Printers

o Client-side hardware (Windows / Mac)

o Office 365 / Google apps for business

o Microsoft / Linux servers

o Silverline (Broadsoft) phone system

· Monitor and respond to issues on the service desk escalating where required

· Work with 3rd party supplies to resolve hardware/software issues

· Procure hardware for new and existing users as direct by IT Systems Support

· Assist in IT projects throughout the business as required

 

Experience / knowledge of the following is desirable but not required (onsite training):

· ESX / ESXi

· Hyper-V

· Backup exec

· Salesforce

· Apache / Nginx

· Terminal Services

· MS SQL / MySQL

· Python / PowerShell / Bash scripting

· Magento

· Ilias e-learning platform

 

Key skills:

· Graduate level or equivalent

· 2 years experience working in IT 1st level support

· Excellent organisational and communication skills

· Rapport and relationship building skills with staff and suppliers

· Logical approach to problem solving

· Outstanding time management and prioritisation skills

· Desire to learn and develop personal and technical abilities

· A team player with strong personal values, showing integrity and proactive work approach
